MAIN MODEL:
The main model is a formal crystallization of the thesis’s central ambition: to construct a city that is both architectural object and functional urban world. The model compresses the logics of street, tower, figure, monument, and facade into a singular sculptural ensemble, highlighting the gestalt composition of the master-plan. Laser- Cut MDF provides a tectonic base for the individual building articulations, mimicking the process of construction of the artifical “hill”. Monumental towers rise above the plan, streets carve ceremonial processions through a terrain of façadic drama, a choreographed urban wall. Architectural elements emerge across different scales and building types, but remain unified within their plurality. High contrast between the high-resolution expressions and basic massing blocks of the master-plan create a chiaroscuro compositional effect...
